Keep the Background Simple
Before you snap your picture, be sure to consider the area
that will turn out to be the
background.
We can be so focused on our subject it's easy to forget about what lies
beyond them.
It takes presence of mind to look beyond your
subject to the background that will be a part of your photo.
Make sure there are no trees or poles sprouting from your subjects head.
If you need to, move and shoot from a different angle or zoom in to remove distractions or unsightly
areas behind your subject.
As you can
see, this photo of a Pakistani man is much better without the people
behind the man's head.
