Dreams Being Released Into the Wild
It was a magical morning in Algoma, Wisconsin. The sun was just about to breach the horizon of Lake Michigan. The Algoma Pier light stood watch.
This image is another panorama. It is three individual shots that I combined to give you the larger span of view. In order to capture more of the sky, I shot the three original images in “portrait” orientation, making this pano much taller than otherwise possible.
l was blessed to be at this very spot when the sun began to paint the thin, low clouds with the vivid redish-orange that you see here. When the best color hits, you have maybe five or ten minutes to capture the highlights.
I love the dreamy nature of the sky on this one but my favorite part is the various colors and textures of the water in the foreground. To enjoy the full effect, you should view this image full-screen and zoom in on the water. To do so, simply click on the photo then click on the full-screen version to zoom in.
