Multiple Streams
The South Falls at Silver Falls State Park waterfall cascades over a rocky cliff into a tranquil pool below, surrounded by lush greenery. The sun, filtered through tall trees, did a nice job of illuminating the mist in the air. The state park where you can find this, and a number of other waterfalls, is located outside Portland, Oregon.
The title, Multiple Streams, is a reference to the stream of water flowing off the cliff, the sunlight streaming through the trees and the rocky stream bed in the foreground.

Tall Drink

Where Dreams Flow Freely
A serene waterfall cascades gently down the rocks, surrounded by lush greenery and the moss-covered trees of Silver Falls State Park near Portland, Oregon. I like the moss on the trees and the way the sunlight highlights a hint of mist in the air.
It took four images stitched together to create this full view. This is a vertical panorama. I wish I could remember which of the many waterfalls from this park is pictured here. This is an image I had on the hard drive that I’d just not gotten around to – and there’s more from this trip and location. This was captured in early October of 2022.

South Falls at Silver Falls State Park
Last year I visited the Portland, Oregon area for a conference. While there I got to visit some of the area’s scenic treasures. Silver Falls State Park is a site with ten waterfalls within rainforest-like conditions. This is South Falls – a 177-foot (54 m) cascade. It is one of the most visited of the falls, probably because it is near a main entrance.
If you look closely, you can see a wooden fence about half way up. That is a trail that leads you under the falls. There is a lot of great hiking and beauty in this park. This is a panoramic photo – three individual photos joined together (vertically) to get the full, awesome view.
